Start with a service estimate

Cotiza is being built for people who price their own work: repairs, cleaning, painting, landscaping and other services. The iPhone and iPad app supports a quick hourly quote or an itemized estimate. Add your own quantities, prices and descriptions; choose hours, days, each, square feet, linear feet or a fixed amount. It does not suggest market rates.

Keep selling prices and your own budget separate

For itemized work, you can add a private planned time and direct-cost budget. Selling prices on customer lines are not treated as your costs. This private plan helps you compare the estimate with the actual job later.

Send a PDF or text through Messages

The free app plan includes PDF preview/export in English or Spanish and bilingual text sharing. From a draft or saved job, use Copy as text EN + ES, then paste into Messages/iMessage. You can also choose Send or share text, or share the PDF through the system share sheet. Messages availability and delivery depend on your device; Cotiza does not send automatically or confirm delivery.

What the customer document contains

A quote includes its scope, selling-price breakdown, estimated total in USD and any quote terms you entered. PDFs can include a business name and contact details you explicitly set in Settings; these are omitted by default. Private planned hours/costs, actual costs and amounts received are excluded. Always review the preview and recipient before sharing.

Three new saved jobs per month

The free app plan includes three successfully saved new jobs per calendar month. Editing a job, recording actuals, sharing or exporting a backup does not use another slot. Saving a repeat-job draft creates a new job. Deleting a job does not give its slot back. The app displays the allowance and reset date using its saved timezone. Existing jobs stay accessible when you reach the limit.

Record the total received so far

Enter the cumulative amount received for the job, not an extra payment to add. For example, after two payments of $50, enter $100 total. Record your actual hours, materials, travel, helpers/subcontractors and other direct costs. These are your own job figures; Cotiza does not move money or issue a receipt.

Know when a result is complete

Mark a job settled when the work is finished and you expect no more payments. Enter actual hours and costs before settling. Open jobs show a provisional cash-minus-cost result. Hourly results and trends are before taxes, overhead and unrecorded costs, so they are not accounting net profit.

Back up your records privately

The iPhone and iPad app stores records on your device and has no automatic cloud sync. In Settings, export a private JSON backup and keep it somewhere you control. Import validates the file and adds missing records without replacing existing ones or resetting the allowance. Backups may contain customer details and cost records; do not share them publicly. Your PDF business-heading settings are separate and are not included in job backups.

Local storage has a capacity

Free and Premium share the same local capacity: up to 10,000 saved jobs, 1,000 templates, 100,000 consumed-job entries and a 10 MB archive. A change that exceeds a limit cannot be saved. Premium removes the monthly saving allowance, not these storage limits. Deleting the app removes local records; exported files and Apple device backups are separate.

Premium, restore and cancellation

Premium is planned to add no monthly job-save limit, recurring templates, repeat-job drafts and cross-job trends. Existing jobs, PDF/text sharing, edits, actual costs and backups remain available without Premium. Once subscriptions are available, use Restore purchases with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Apple manages subscription cancellation; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Use the free web calculator

The website calculator uses a cleaning example and your own hours, rate, supplies, travel and contingency. Decimal points or commas are accepted, with up to two decimal places. Inputs stay in the current browser visit. Copy or download a text estimate if you want to keep it. The web calculator does not create itemized app jobs or PDF documents, and it does not sync to the iPhone and iPad app.

Current availability

The iPhone and iPad app is in development and is not yet available on the App Store. No launch date is promised. The website calculator and guides are available now. This site does not sell subscriptions or collect payment requests.
